The Freebie Round-Up #161

I’m so stoked! I had a glimpse of an early copy of one of the books we have been translating for years now. I’ll probably have a copy by next week and I can’t wait to share it on the blog along with some favorite quotes. I will share the physical copies to our church and if possible to a reader if I can do a raffle. Keep on praying for it and more updates coming soon.

Anyways, to jumpstart the weekend, here’s a fresh batch of freebies.

8 Favorite Quotes From The Book “Am I Called to Ministry?” (Brad Wheeler, Crossway)

It’s the midweek and I hope everyone are good! I would like to take the opportunity to say Thank you to those who regularly visit this blog, liking and commenting on it. It means so much to me that you’re still there despite, behind the scenes, I have my ever busy day job and multiple side hustle, that I almost forgot to update my blog. May all of you be blessed by God by this gesture.

Anyways, here’s a new batch of quotes published by Crossway, from their wonderful series, Church Questions, titled Am I Called to Ministry? authored by Brad Wheeler. If you like these quotes, you can buy the book by clicking this link.

“Teaching is at the heart of pastoral ministry. A pastor isn’t an activities programmer or a personal motivator but a Bible teacher.”

Top 15 Best Books I Read in 2023

This might be my favorite and easy to write post this January. Favorite because I get to share some of the books that kept me company in that very memorable year that is 2023. Easy because I just copy and paste the link. LOL. Kidding aside, I yearn to always see my readers picking up the best picks of that year.

Now you might ask, why the top 15? Why not 10 or 5? I have two answers to that one question. One, there are lots of great books released in that year and obviously, I would rate it 5. Two, Two, I have this feeling that I haven’t read enough in 2023. Perhaps life happens in my work, family and ministry. But still I enjoy every opportunity to open my phone to read a digital copy of a book.

8 Favorite Quotes From The Book “Living Without Worry” (Tim Lane, The Good Book Company)

Happy Monday! Let’s jump start our week with quotes from a book that inevitably help me review or refresh my biblical counseling course I took last July. Basically, this book by Tim Lane, Living Without Worry published by The Good Book Company, is a great help for those who worry (i.e. you and I). So enjoy these quotes and if you like them, would you consider getting a copy of this book here?

“…worry is over-concern that results from “over-loving” something—that is, loving it more than God. Concern results when you love something in a proper way and not more than God. Indifference is a lack of love. It is the opposite of worry, not the antidote or cure for worry.”
