My first dip on the Oh, Mateo! by the dynamic duo of Ms. Grace and Ms. Beth. Both can really provide an adventure that is for me is solid and enjoyable. I was carried away by the story. This can be made for TV. Let you kids know the value and the joy of owning a pet by giving them this book.
God Loves Children!
Do you know that children has a special place in God’s Kingdom?
“But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.”
Mark 10:14-16
And thats why salvation is not only open for grown ups who will have child-like faith, but to children also. Paul sets Timothy as an example:
“and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
2 Timothy 3:15
So how do the sacred writings (the Bible) leads us to salvation?
Do you know that the law specifically the 10 Commandments (which is in the Bible) is our schoolmaster (guardian, tutor, guide) that will lead us to Christ?
“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”
Galatians 3:24-25 (KJV)
In Bible times, children were assisted by a schoolmaster to school till they reach puberty. Like wise, the law or the 10 Commandments assist us come to Christ by telling us that we have shortcomings with God. The Bible calls it “sin”:
“Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.”
Romans 3:19-20
Are you a good person?
Examine yourself by the 10 Commandments (check Exodus 20) . Have you ever lied? Have you been angry lately? Have you used God’s name in vain? Have you look at someone with lust? Have you stolen anything? If you admit that you have done those things, then the Bible declares you guilty:
“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.”
James 2:10
“as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.
All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
Romans 3:10-12
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 3:23
God is holy (Isaiah 6:3, 2 Cron. 6:18), He is just (Psa. 139:9, Dan. 4:35) and He will punish those who sin in Hell (Mark 9:48, Rev. 14:11). According to the Bible, it is an abomination to justify the wicked (Prov. 17:15). Justice needs to be met. Thats why God is also rich in mercy thatHe send His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to live a sinless life and to die for your sin:
“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
Romans 5:10-11
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Ask for God to grant you repentance and faith (Acts 11:8), ask for mercy (Psa. 41:4) and He promise that anyone who comes to Him, He will not reject (John 6:37, Romans 10:13). He will save you not by your good works or religious deeds but by faith through Jesus Christ:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
“and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
Romans 3:24-26
Jesus died, was buried and 3 days later risen to defeat death. You must repent (turn away from your sins) and believe in Christ:
“From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 4:17
“and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
Mark 1:15
“The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,”
Acts 17:30
When you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by faith, you will become a child of God:
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,”
John 1:12
Do it today. You may not have tomorrow:
“For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:2
If you repent and believe Christ, He will transform you:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
As a child of God you are to walk in His will:
“for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
Ephesians 5:8
As a new born in Christ, desire to grow:
“Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—”
1 Peter 2:2
Cultivate your love for Christ by :
1. Reading the Bible
2. Having a prayer life
3. Being baptized and attending a Bible preaching church
4. Sharing the gospel of Christ
