As I have mentioned on my freebie round-up, I had a one week”reading a book break”. I have to go to a short sabbatical to unclutter my mind and focus on important things. While in a short sabbatical, I explored some music and found some great artist and their music. I have three of them here that you can check out.
Norton Hall Band hails from Southern Seminary and composed of pastors studying at the seminary. They sing old hymns which they gave modern touch.
Listening to Wendell Kimbrough reminds me of Bob Dylan and John Dever. Those haunting voice and music that combines folk and gospel, you will surely get hooked on listening. His latest release Come to Me is pure gold.
Lastly, The Corner Room which is akin to Rend Collective but sings the Psalms. Their lyrics is straight out of the ESV Bible and they perfectly fit the music and the verses. So go check their two albums on every music streaming platform you have.
I would like to add this video of the to this round-up because this became very helpful to me. I’m teaching our youth small group with the Baptist Catechism and I’m having problems understanding Question #98. The question is “How do Baptism and the Lord’s Supper become effectual means of salvation?” The words I’m confused with is the ‘means of salvation.” I’ved asked our FB group and the Tagalog translator of the Keach’s Catechism and thankfully they provide a clear and simple answer. And what a coincidence (and providence) that Ligonier uploaded this video.
