8 Favorite Quotes From the Book “The Serpent Slayer and The Scroll of Riddles” (Champ Thornton and Andrew Naselli)

Time really flies and it’s February already. The weather here is getting warm and now it’s safe to have my brisk walking without catching the colds. Anyways, Here’s some great quotes I got from a book I recently finished. The Serpent Slayer and The Scroll of Riddles by Champ Thornton and Andrew Naselli a forthcoming book by New Growth Press and you can get your copy by following this link. Purchasing your copy enables you to support the author, publishing house and ministry to further push the gospel of Christ.

“She smoothed out the scroll and pointed to a strange green drawing. “Is that one of the snakes you were talking about?”Mr. Mag nodded. “That’s right. That serpent slithers all through the Bible—sometimes appearing like a snake, sometimes like a dragon, always a dangerous enemy.”

*The Creator had provided all the food we needed. But now everything is different. He gestured toward the mountain behind them. “The Creator had told me to care for the Garden, to guard it. But the Snake found a way in and poisoned the one I love.”

“Emmet and Nomi, never forget that the Creator has promised that Someone will crush the Snake who has poisoned us. This Snake-crusher will crush the Snake’s head.” The Man stopped, and then added, “And then all will be well. All will be well.”

“The poison of the heart is believing the lie,” Nomi shouted and then Emmet joined her, “that God is not good!”

“And I’m starting to get sick of the Snake,” said Emmet. “Wherever he goes, there’s fighting and evil.”

“Yet no matter how difficult his teaching was, Emmet found himself drawn to him. Who is this man? Emmet wondered as he kept on listening.”

“So why did he die in the first place?” “That’s a question many are asking,” said the woman. “He died to defeat death, to defeat sin, to slay that old Serpent. He took sin and death on himself, took them into the grave. And when he rose, he left them there!”

“What we learned is that even though God expects us to fight against the Snake, we do our part only after God has sent someone to fight for us.”
