Hello guys! How are you all doing? Just finished a book on parenting. I have another one to dive in and enjoy. The review of the first book is on it’s way.

Anyways, here’s some quotes from the book I’ve just finished, Bumps, Babies and the Gospel by Sarah Dargue published by 10 Publishing. If you like these quotes, please get the book by clicking here.

“Parenting is full to the brim with momentary forks in the road, where we can either choose to trust in ourselves or to trust in God.”

“Parenting is a wonderful visual reminder of the gospel, as you give your life so that another can live.”

” Our ability to parent God’s way begins, matures and ends with living the cross-centred life. And ultimately the biggest gift you’ll ever give your child is showing them the wonder of the cross,
as you marvel at it yourself.”

“the height of information and technology in the twenty-first century, there are countless unknowns, and
as humans we remain rightly humbled in our lack of control, because we’re not the ones who sustain life. Christ is”

“As we gaze at Christ, we can fully expect that our heart will be transformed, as we learn what it looks like to glorify Christ in the ordinary, everyday moments of parenthood.”

“…particular situation has been created
to give Christ Jesus glory. In the midst of all the unknowns, you and your child are known to him in the most intimate of ways. And all the different parts of your story are being intertwined into his bigger story, to make much of Christ and to give him the honour and praise
that he deserves. Drink deeply of these gospel truths today. Christ is the Creator, Sustainer and Goal of Creation.”

“What does it look like to put the cross front and centre as parents? First and foremost, it involves continually recognising how much we need the cross for ourselves.”

“…parenthood has catapulted me into seeing my need for the cross in a whole new light, and I’ve come to appreciate the wonder of delighting in the cross on a daily basis like never before.”
