4 Reason Why It Is Wrong to Fear Men Part 2

“Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”–Acts 5:28-29

3.) They can put you down because of who you are, but what matters is what we are in Christ.

Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”

Does it matter to a Christian how unbelievers think of us? The ungenerated may prioritize on education we achieve, the success that we had or how we look but all is farce compare on who Christ thing of us. Our identity in Christ is the most important thing

4.) They can threaten you, but persecution is promised before hand.

You may read lots of verses pertaining to the promises of God to a believer. But dont forget Jesus promised that you will be persecuted forrighteous sake. This will definately will pin you down and instill fear to your heart.

Matthew 5:10-12 “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness ‘sake:for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:for great is your reward in heaven:for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”

Despite of the persecution, according to verse 12 of Matthew 5, we are to rejoice and be glad for God will take note of it and reward you. Look at what the apostles did after they were threaten by the enemies of Christ:

Acts 4:23-30 “And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings:and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.”

May this be our response as we face men for Christ fearlessly.
